Method 2: Use the Query Loop Block (Gutenberg)
If you want more flexibility or to show posts from a specific category on a custom page using the Gutenberg Block Editor, you can use the Query Loop Block.
Steps:
- Create a New Page:
- Go to Pages > Add New and create a new page, for example, “Category: News.”
- Insert the Query Loop Block:
- In the Block Editor, click the + button to add a block.
- Search for Query Loop and insert it.
- Filter by Category:
- Once the Query Loop block is added, you’ll see the option to filter posts.
- Under Block Settings in the right sidebar, find the Categories dropdown.
- Select the specific category you want to display (e.g., “News”).
- The Query Loop block will now only show posts from the selected category.
- Customize the Layout:
- You can choose the layout style (list, grid, etc.) to control how the posts are displayed.
- Customize additional settings, such as the number of posts, featured images, post excerpts, etc.
- Publish the Page:
- Once you’re satisfied with the layout and the posts shown, click Publish.
