Method 2: Use the Query Loop Block (Gutenberg)

If you want more flexibility or to show posts from a specific category on a custom page using the Gutenberg Block Editor, you can use the Query Loop Block.

Steps:

  1. Create a New Page:
    • Go to Pages > Add New and create a new page, for example, “Category: News.”
  2. Insert the Query Loop Block:
    • In the Block Editor, click the + button to add a block.
    • Search for Query Loop and insert it.
  3. Filter by Category:
    • Once the Query Loop block is added, you’ll see the option to filter posts.
    • Under Block Settings in the right sidebar, find the Categories dropdown.
    • Select the specific category you want to display (e.g., “News”).
    • The Query Loop block will now only show posts from the selected category.
  4. Customize the Layout:
    • You can choose the layout style (list, grid, etc.) to control how the posts are displayed.
    • Customize additional settings, such as the number of posts, featured images, post excerpts, etc.
  5. Publish the Page:
    • Once you’re satisfied with the layout and the posts shown, click Publish.
